The history of the Dom Tower
The construction of the Dom Tower began in 1321, but due to lack of funds, construction was halted for many years. The tower was only completed after more than 60 years. Originally it was a Catholic church, but after the Beeldenstorm (Iconoclasm) in the 16th century it became a Protestant church. Over the centuries, the tower has been restored several times. Currently, hard work is being done again to preserve this historic monument.
