20/09/2017

Operator and designer of car parks Contipark Austria, a member of Interparking Group, won a European Parking Award in Rotterdam for the “Am Museumquartier” car park in Austria. The newly renovated car park is located in the heart of Vienna's high-end Museumkwartier. With 90,000 m2 and more than 60 cultural institutions, it is the largest art and culture area in the world. In addition, the Mariahilfer Strasse, one of Vienna's most famous shopping districts, is located at a walking distance.

The European Parking Awards are organized every two years at the European Parking Association congress. Contipark Austria won the European Parking Award in the “Renovated Parking Structures” category. Alpha Parking, also a member of Interparking Group, was nominated along with Contipark in that category. The jury elected the car parks based on different criteria such as location, functionality, management and the offer of parking services.

Parking Am Museumquartier offers 980 parking spaces and has been completely renovated and modernised within a 2-year period. It provides parking facilities with high parking comfort at unbeatable low prices. Components of the renovation were a complex concrete installation, extensive paintwork, a new planing plan, parking management system, state-of-the-art technical facilities and environmentally friendly LED lighting.
