27/01/2022

Interparking Nederland, market leader in parking in the healthcare sector, has recently added Gelre hospitals as the 15th location to its portfolio. As of February 1, 2022, Interparking will start its activities as manager of the parking facilities in Apeldoorn and Zutphen.

Almost 2,000 additional parking spaces under management

The hospital location in Apeldoorn has five parking facilities with approximately 1,300 parking spaces. There are development plans to upgrade the current P2 parking facility and construction of a new parking facility with a capacity of 890 parking spaces will start in April 2022. In Zutphen, the hospital has a public parking garage with 250 parking spaces for visitors and two parking lots with a total of 438 places for staff. With the implementation of the complete management, Interparking takes care of everything; from service on location to complete financial administration. The parking rates remain unchanged, with the first 15 minutes being free.

At Interparking, customer experience is central

Gelre hospitals were looking for a suitable partner for this assignment at the end of 2021 and had taken care of a request for a quote. Michiel Plugge, Service Manager Hospitality at Gelre Hospitals, was jointly responsible for the assessment of the various offers: 'We chose Interparking because they made the best offer in terms of quality. We have high expectations of this collaboration and believe we have found an experienced partner with Interparking to further develop the parking issue at our locations.'

Mariska Kornet, New Business Manager at Interparking, is proud that Gelre hospitals have chosen Interparking. “With the addition of this new partnership, our portfolio currently includes 15 hospital locations in the Netherlands. We will use our experience at the other hospitals to unburden patients, visitors and staff as much as possible. We thank Gelre hospitals for their trust and look forward to a successful collaboration.”
